Question: should I take aspirin for leg cramps I have been having for two days, I have just had a cortisone injection in my shoulder for bursa inflammation, frozen shoulder. YYYY@YYYY the right leg only

The leg cramps occur due to localised make spasm.

I would prefer you not take Aspirin as it is harmful to the stomach and kidneys.

Apply hot water bottle to the painful areas as this provides the best relief by helping the cramping muscles to relax. Keep the limb elevated. Take pain killer with muscle relaxant like Tablet Etodolac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 3-5 days. Keep well hydrated. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Walk daily for 45 minutes which helps to increase blood circulation to your muscles.
