Brief Answer:
Not in the adverse effect profile of the drug

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your query.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.

Because clinical trials are conducted under widely varying and controlled conditions, adverse reaction rates observed in clinical trials of a drug cannot be directly compared broader patient population in clinical practice.

There are many side effects been noted, but hyperplasia of base of the tongue is not been mentioned, and to my knowledge I have not heard of.

Hence you can go with ENT surgeon, has it is natural that the consulting doctor will be alarmed and inform the patient if there is any suspicious thing.

Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.

Take care.

Thank you for your kind reply Dr Naik. I have now had the mild hyperplasia at the tongue base for about eight months. Can I expect the hyperplasia to reduce over time?

Brief Answer:
With time it will reduce.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.
I think based on the information that is given, it should reduce with time, it may be due to repetitive irritation, that may include hot drinks, alcohol intake and smoking. So I would suggest you to avoid these. It is advisable to maintain good oral hygiene.

I would suggest you not to worry, you are fine.

Take care.
