Brief Answer:
Would take time.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
The infection of finger takes time to settle. I don't find any need of adding clindamycin to your regimen if you have been prescribed Bactrim DS.
Yes in adults it can be taken twice to thrice a day but response is usually visible after 7 days of the treatment.
So, you need to have patience.
I would also recommend you to protect your finger from water.
You may apply local antibiotic cream like Mupriocin for better results
In case uou don't get any relief soon, within 7 days, discuss with your doctor to switch you on antibiotics like Amoxycillin or Ampicillin.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
