Can Bactrim Be Taken For UTI Klebsiella Pneumoniae Infection?
Question: I have a UTI the infection is klebsiella pneumoniae My Dr. prescribed Bactrim but it is not on the list of antibiotics that this infection is sensitive to. Am I taking this drug for nothing? It is making me feel bad. I just cut it in half in desperation.

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have UTI and you have been advised to take Bactrim which according to culture and sensitivity report the bacteria are not sensitive to Bactrim. Hence, it is unlikely that you will get results.
I would be happy if you upload your urine culture report so as to make precise suggestion about antibiotic to be taken .Else you can start taking appropriate antibiotic as per culture report.
