Can Bactrim Cause Irregular Menstruation?
starting 6 days before my period should come for a uti. I did not have unprotected sex after starting the antibiotics. I have been on the pill for over 4 years. I did take the first pill about 12 hours late due to the phamracy being closed. now, my period is light and it was about 12 hours late. It started late late Monday night and it's Wednesday afternoon. it's mostly red but has some brown. I'm concerned.
it's not Bactrim but is infection and stress that cause delay and change flux
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern but there is nothing to worry .
Physical and emotional stress is common factors that can delay your period. Therefore, if you have had UTI, it has caused significant stress to your body, it is possible that your menstrual cycle may be affected and your period delayed, or have less flux or heavier.
On these days, when you have took antibiotics for your infection, it may be the physical stress on your body that is actually disturbing your cycle, especially when it occurs during the first half of your cycle, and not the antibiotics per se.
Other stress factors that could delay your period include lack of sleep during UTI.

There are no chances of pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
If you have used pill regularly every day there are no chances to be pregnant.
For more you are menstruating, even if you have a few vaginal bleeding but it is a side effect from the use of antibiotic.
Be calm and use much more fluids.
Best regards
You haven't chances to be pregnant
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again.
As I wrote on the answer that I have given above there aren't chances to be pregnant even if you have drank the first pill 12 hours later .
While less menstrual flux can be due to body stress and from use of antibiotics.
Best regards
