Can Becozinc Treat Alopecia Areata?
A doctor in XXXXXXX told me to take (Vitamin B Complex + Zinc) capsules. Named Becozinc, do you think it will be helpful?
may cause slight improvement
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
It may help.
There is at least one center in the US that has assessed the use of b vitamins and zinc in this condition and found a slight improvement so it may help you.
If your diet already has biotin (one of the B vitamins involved in skin/hair), then there is no evidence at the moment adding more biotin would help.
Biotin is found in lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, chard.
There are some persons with alopecia areata that do not need any treatment because hair regrows on its own.
Since treatment is needed, you may need to combine other medications along with the supplement.
Steroids, minoxidil and other medications are used.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
