Brief Answer:
it is likely to be a side effect of your cancer treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have read your query and understand your concern. I am sorry you are facing this health issue.

I am glad the pain has now gone. Haemorrhoids are caused by swollen veins in the lower rectum. In your case, this is likely to be a side effect of your cancer treatment, if you are undergoing one.

C- Reactive Protein level of 25 is not concerning, so you may ignore that. Blood in the stool sample is due to bleeding from the haemorrhoids.

Your diet should be rich in fibre to help you maintain your general health well.

Plenty of fresh fruits and water will help in healing the haemorrhoids. Also, very important is Sitz Bath twice daily. Kindly read about how you can do one for yourself online.

I hope this helps you in some way. Please let me know if you have more queries.

Get well soon and wishing you good health.

Regards,
Dr Shanthi E
