Can Calpol And Combiflam Be Taken The Same Day?

Question: Can we take Calpol 500mg for fever and Combiflam for tooth pain relief with 4 hours difference ? Is there any side effect for taking Calpol & Combiflam together ?

Detailed Answer:

Calpol contains paracetamol and combiflame contains paracetmol and Ibuprofen. Both can be used for fever and pain. you can take either of medication every 6th hourly.
Since you are having fever and tooth pain I suggest you take Combiflame. You can use it every 6th hourly if you are having sever pain and high fever. If you are having moderate pain you can take thrice a day, if pain decreases then make it twice or once a day.
This medication can cause gastric problem and for that I suggest you pantoprazole 40 mg once a day 30 minutes before breakfast with empty stomach for one week.
Drink plenty of water.
