Question: I used brolene antiboitic eyedrops for 7 days after conjunctivitus and then when i felt that it didnt go away i used chlorsiq antibiotic eyedrops for 5 days, do u think i overdid the use of these products taking them one after the other? My eyes then became inflammed and i got dry eye, my eyelids were midly inflammed. i then was prescribed fml eyedrops which are steroids to treat the inflammation and i must have had some sort of an allergic reaction because i got shooting nerve pain which lasted eight weeks and then i got eye popping. For example; something wriggling around in my eye making my eyeball twitch and pop. Do u know what this was? after about six weeks i started to see a fixed white dot in the centre of my vision, then i started to see a black dot with a white circle and then a white dot with a black circle all fixed and only seen when in the sunlight. I also saw floating blobs to the right side. At first it was just in my right eye but then it was in my left eye as well. Sometimes i see a whole line of white dots all clustered together in the centre of my vision but only when im in the sunlight, can u tell me why this happened?

Brief Answer:
The symptoms indicate keratoconjunctivitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are had a eye infection in the form of conjunctivitis and you are treated with Brolene and Chlorsig eye drops.
Both these are antibiotic eye drops and can be used to treat conjunctivitis.
The symptoms of pain, seeing a black or white dot in the centre of the vision indicate involvement of cornea in the form of keratoconjuncunctivitis resulting in punctate keratitis.
This requires treatment by the use of steroid eye drops to treat inflammation.
This condition usually takes 3-4 weeks for complete resolution.
FML is a steroid eye drop and it needs to be used in this condition. I usually recommend artificial tears like Refresh tears along with steroid eye drops for symptomatic relief.

Hence this has occurred probably because of increased virulence or severity of infection and not because of over use of antibiotics.
But no need to worry the treatment is in right direction and these symptoms will respond and they will be cured.

Hence do continue treatment as advised by your doctor.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards
Dr. Dadapeer K
