
Can Clarithyomycin Kept At Room Temperature Be Given To A Toddler?

Question: hello doctor
I am giving clarithyomycin to my 3 year child as per doctors advice. usually i keep it in fridge/cooler today morning i not kept that outside. is that i can give it now or new one i have to give? . is tit ok to keep that syrup outside and use it?

If it is recommended to keep the medicine in fridge, then it should be kept in fridge.
Usually nothing happens if it remained outside for a day. It does not lose its effectiveness or potency. So nothing to worry.
Give the child the required dose and keep it in fridge (if it says that on label).
If the label says that it is to be kept at a cool place, then it does NOT mean fridge. It just means cold place in the house.
