Can Clindamycin Be Taken While Using Ophthalmic Solution For An Eye Infection?

Question: I have cellulitis in both my legs, had some infection, which is better but still have some redness in my right leg, so my Doctor changed my prescription of Keflex(Cephalexin)to Clindamycin Hcl 300mg twice a day. While this was being treated, with fresh wraps and Silverton cream every three days, I went ahead while off work to have a successful laparoscopic Bilateral hernia repair and cataract surgery in both eyes. I am doing well with both of those surgeries completed. Sorry for the long details, but here is my question, I need to know if I can use my eye drops every day and safely take the Clindamycin? Could you give me your professional advice as I just want to be safe and not create a complication!
Brief Answer:
Yes you can use it safely!
Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear,
Have gone through your details.
Yes a eye drop can be taken safely with clindamycin.
Eye drop is used locally(Direct on eye) while clindamycin is taken systemically,Both the routes are fully different and they are not related to each other.
So don't worry you can use eye drop locally.
Thanks!
