Can Clomid Be Taken After Menstruation?

Question: Hi, i have taken provera to induce a period. It has been 5 days since my last tablet and now im spotting a brown discharge. Do i start taking clomid or wait until i bleed?

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

If you will use Clomid for induction of ovulation, then initiation of Clomid vary from length of your menstrual cycle .
How long is your menstrual cycle, 28 to 35 days ?

Usually we suggest starting Clomid on day three of menstrual cycle, counting the day one the first day of vaginal bleeding as it is spotting or clear vaginal bleeding.

My cycle is irregular. i am normally asked to start provera on around day 35.
Day 2 start clomid until day 6 (double dose this time)
Day 12/13 pelvic scan
Day 21 and 28 have a progesterone test and
Day 30 see the gyno/obstetrician
This is my forth time doing this and the first time ive had spotting.
