Can Colace Be Taken With Flagyl?

Question: my son is being treated for c-diff, third round of flagyl, but very distended stomach, see specialist tomorrow. he is constipated and wants to take Colace, will that interfere with the flagyl?if I can't get answer tonight then I don't want to proceed, need to know now.
Brief Answer:
Can be taken together
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking!
Colace is a laxative stool softener and he can use it with metronidazole. Both go fine together with no harm done to each others effect. Take plenty of water and fibers. Avoid mineral oil with it.Rest your tomorrows visit to specialist for other troubles will be managed well and i wish you good luck for that. You can take constipation relief by colace. If there is no nausea and vomiting, fecal impaction or electrolytes imbalance you are good to go.
Hopefully night will spend fine and tomorrow visit will help for further management.
I hope it helps. Dont forget to close the discussion please.
Take care
S Khan
