Question: Can cyclobenzaprine and oxycodone raise blood pressure if taken to long for my hip surgery pain
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
hello,
Cyclobenzaprine doesn't cause high bp. However, oxycodone can sometimes raise bp in around 1-5 % patients, not very common.
So in short, high bp should not be a significant problem with either of these medicines. Even if it has it would be reversible. Rather your pain itself can raise blood pressure much more commonly than med. Both these medicine has significant neurological side effects like drowsiness, irritability, nervousness, dizziness etc.

Only other thing I can think of is can being on my period, and I was sick last week do haven't had much of appetite, can low iron raise bp?
But either way why hasn't it responded to my bystolic from 2 hours ago?
But either way why hasn't it responded to my bystolic from 2 hours ago?
Brief Answer:
No, low iron doesn't cause high bp
Detailed Answer:
hello,
Low iron doesn't cause high bp. Bp is highly variable parameter and it has multiple causes of fluctuations. Change in stress, pain, cold, body environment, salt etc etc can cause change in bp.
Also, 140/94 is not very high, you shouldn't be worried much about it. Also, bystolic will take some time to act and it's not a potent antihypertensive. Nowadays, it's not a first choice. You can request your doctor to change it to telmisartan or losartan or amlodipine etc especially if not controlling bp adequately.
Also, you should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week then once or twice a week. If bp is persistently more than 140/90 mmhg, then you should ask for medicines or dose change. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 days a week. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. There shouldn't abdominal fat deposition or obesity. Get your lipid profile and sugars tested once..

it's just very high for me, and I have a headache throbbing from it too. I guess I notice since not normal for me, especially on my meds. can I take the cyclobenzaprine and oxycodone for my hip and headache now, or will that make it worse maybe?
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
ok, it can be. Vice a versa is also possible, high bp can cause headaches and headaches can also cause high bp. So this headache is a recent problem or its a chronic problem. If it's a recent one like for few years then yes we can assume bp leading to headache.
You can take your medicine, less likely to make things worse. Have it after food and with some antacid like pantoprazole 40 or Ranitidine 150 mg otherwise may lead to gastritis and nausea.
