Can Diazepam Be Taken Along With Exforge And Concor?

my father is 50 years old, he doesn't have any significant medical history no history of diabetes, hypertension etc.
he was once told that he has high bad cholestrol but not to a level that needs treatement.
two days ago he started having high blood pressure whenever he gets angry or family issues going on..
Today was the worst of all, he had blood pressure of 180/110 he even felt that his index finger was stiff and turning away until he forcefully brought it back however it gradually came down at the moment up to 150/94, he told me he took Diazepam which he thinks calmed him down
My mother and grandma both have a little high blood pressure episodes.
my grandmother takes exfroge 20mg/160mg once daily
and my mother takes concor 5mg once daily
we will go to a doctor for more check ups however i was thinking if he can take one of these medicines to lower his blood pressure at the moment
my questions are
1.can he take any of the above mentioned medicines at the moment or any time he feels his blood pressure is high?
2.can he take these medicines together with Diazepam??
Can't take Exforge because of big dose, can take Concor if he has high pulse
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If your father has high blood pressure when he stressed, then he should continue Diazepam, if he takes it as needed, I would advise him to take everyday, until he overcome stress. It will prevent too high blood pressures.
From above mentioned medications, Exforge 20/160 has very big dose for him. He can take Concor only if he has elevated heart rate with high blood pressure, e.g. he can take 5 mg Concor when his heart rate is around 100 bpm and he has high blood pressure, and there is no contraindication to take Concor with Diazepam.
Hope I could help you
Wishing a good health to your father
In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask
Regards,

He calmed down abit now and the blood pressure went down to 130/84 . however his heart rate never went up even when his blood pressure was high his heart rate stayed about 60 to 64bpm ..
so if his heart rate is not about 100bpm should he avoid taking Concor as well ?
1.is there any hypertensive medicine he can take if he has high blood pressure with normal heart rate or a heart rate of 60bpm?
2.is high blood pressure with normal heart beat considered a chronic hypertension person or just a hypertension that's related to stress?
3.what do you suggest for his case?
Thank you so much for the quick response.
Welcome back
Detailed Answer:
Actually heart rate and blood pressure are not connected, so one can have high blood pressure with slow heart rate or fast. It is individual.
In case if his heart rate he can't take Concor.
There are many medications which decrease blood pressure without altering heart rate, for example, Exforge is a combination of two medications, Amlodipine and Valsartan. None if these alters heart rate.
In his case I would advise just go with Diazepam. You can have some low dose blood pressure medication at home just in case if Diazepam doesn't help.
I would advise you to cut the amount if salt, be much in fresh air, avoid nicotine and caffeine, try to avoid stress as much as it is possible, and everything will get better gradually.
Take care
