Can Diphenhydramine Be Taken Along With Phenergan?

Don't use both of them concomitantly. Phenergan is good for that!

No you better not mix both of them at the same time as both have almost the same effects on body and if taken together, may lead to antihistamine overdosage. It may cause CNS depression and other bodily side effects. Instead of getting out of bed afresh the person may be even more lethargic and miserable if he takes both the medicines together before going to sleep.
We usually give Phenergan for sound and peaceful sleep and to relieve the anxiety. You can take that but don't mix it then with Diphenhydramine.

Usually not recommended to take the both of them at the same time!
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for choosing HCM as your health partner. I appreciate your follow up on the issue and happy to assist you today with the query you raised.
Promethazine (Phenergan) and Doxylamine are both the drugs that cause sedation and if taken together may cause increased sedative effects and can be dangerous. I usually don't recommend my patients to take them together due to serious pharmacologic drug interaction between the two.
If you have to take it, close monitoring by a prescribing Physician is highly recommended.
