Can Ebexid Be Taken For Weight Loss When Suffering From Hypothyroidism?
Question: hi i am thyroid patient can i take ebexid 100 mg for weight loss?
Brief Answer:
Do not use it without a doctors prescription
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
Ebexid is used to control hypothyroidism and bring thyroid hormone levels back to normal. Although ebexid can help to promote weight loss it should only be used on prescription by a doctor and only after thyroid hormone levels are measured and found appropriate to initiate the use of ebexid.
I would strongly advise against the use of the medication (ebexid) without a doctors prescription.
I hope you find my response both helpful and informative ma'am. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications ma'am, I would be more than happy to help you.
Best wishes.

My doctor prescribed me the same and ask for follow up after 20 days
Brief Answer:
Then please continue with the same ma'am
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
If your doctor has prescribed this then I am sure he/she has checked your thyroid hormone levels and prescribed this medication for you.
I am also guessing you have irregular periods and are slightly over-weight. Most women with thyroid disorders also have a condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), which causes a gain of weight and irregularities in the menstrual cycle.
Please go ahead and use this medication for the given course of time. If you experience an improvement, I am sure your doctor will advise this medication for a longer period of time to help with your weight and menstrual irregularities (if any).
I hope you find my response helpful ma'am. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.
