Hello! I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Epstein Barr virus infection can cause several neurological complications. Neuropathy is one of these complications. However that happens during the acute phase, they do not happen years after.

There are the rare cases where the virus can reactivate which in theory can cause acute manifestations with neuropathy included, but usually is asymptomatic, manifestations happen only in people with immune suppression.
