Brief Answer: yes can be used Detailed Answer: HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Tamsulosin acts on specific points in the prostate ( it is called an alpha blocker). It helps to relax the bladder and prostate to help with urine flow. Finasteride can be used for prostatic problems or baldness. It acts by blocker a specific chemical. There is no known interaction between the two agents.They can safely be used together. There have been some medical studies done however on the combination of these types of drugs and some studies have found a benefit with the combination whereas in others there was no benefit found. In the study where a benefit was seen , a drug in the tamsulosin family (doxazosin) was combined with finasteride. I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thank you very much, being in NZ answer received over night. For you interest, 12 months ago was prescribed tamsulosin already on a statin,although LDL. Not excessive. Then had major cramp and leg problems, dropped statin, reduced problems but cramp still up to 8 times per night. One month ago started taking Tamsulosi every other day. Halved cramp. Prescribed Fiinasterideo 10 days ago in place for Tamsulosin after 6 days prostate again blocking urine, one tamsulosin 4mg restored flow. Will manage problem until Finesteride kicks in Thanks again
