Can Glycomet Be Replaced With Triglynase 1 As Per The Attached Reports?
Deranged Lipid Profile & Glycemic control.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.
I've gone through your father's test results.
There is--
1) Deranged Lipid Profile.
With such a test results I may suggest fat restricted diet along with statin (cholesterol lowering drug) like Atorvastatin 40mg per day.
2) Deranged Blood sugar levels.
Fasting, Post-prandial blood sugar levels & HbA1c need better control.
For which Strict Compliance with diabetic diet & tolerable exercise is important.
Better to consult his diabetologist for clinical assessment & if required changes in medicine.
3) ECG & 2Decho is acceptable.
4) Thyroid function suggests lower T3 & T4 with normal TSH which may be considered within acceptable range & there may not be a requirement of medicine but physical examination and history taking are important.
5) Kidney Function
eGFR of 71 denotes Stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease. For which better blood sugar, blood pressure control and avoidance of nephrotoxic drugs may be suggested.
Use of kidney protecting medicines like ACE inhibitors or ARBs may be suggested.
6) All other reports are within normal limits.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further.
Regards,
Dr Abhay Mali.
Diabetologist.
Thanks
