Can Gudcef Cause Stomach Ache And Loose Motion?
Question: Hi My kid was suffering from acute stomach ache and loose motions (no fever) from 4 days XXXXXXX 5 - XXXXXXX 9. On XXXXXXX 9th I went to doc and he gave me Bacigyl, Ezlax and cyclopam. After 1 week of course, my kid became fine. Last week he was having cough and cold, so Doc gaev him gudcef 200 mg. Since then he is again complaining of abdomen pain and having loose motions. Please advice

- Allow him more liquids in sessions, preferably boiled water, coconut water, lemon juice, buttermilk, oral rehydration salt.
- Give soft, light diet in form of rice, fresh curd, dal, mung, organic fresh fruits.
- Do not give dairy fat, junk foods, other commercial kinds of stuff.
- Stop Gudcef if currently going on.
- Check that he chews his food thoroughly and do not put toys or other kinds of stuff in mouth.
- Maintain his hand's hygiene before taking anything orally.
- Watch for his urine output and playfulness.
- In case of more abdominal pain, can give cyclopam syrup otherwise not.
- No antibiotics for diarrhea at this stage (unless there are more than 6 - 8 motions per day)
Follow up after 24 hours or early as per the requirement.
