Question: Hello. i had sex with a women two nights ago. two months ago, while i women was giving me oral sex, she cut my skin on the base of my penis. My primary care physician ruled out any STD's and treated it as a cut and gave me some cream to minimize infection. it healed although left like a bump like scar. I refrained from sexual contact until two nights ago. It recently became sensitive again i beleive due to maybe on my pants and or due to mastrurbation. it is not an open wound, just sensitive and a little red. My concern is that when i had sex with this women, i used a condom and when i finished, the condom has rolled off a little and was not covering the scar. Her vaginal fluids came into contact with it and i am wondering how much at risk i am in contacting the HIV virus or an STD?

Brief Answer:
There is no risk for HIV and STD.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you writing in healthcaremagic.

Based on your history, just scar contact with vaginal fluids but not open wound, I think you shouldn't worry because there is no risk to get HIV and STD in this situation.
There is no risk from simple contact of genital secretions with the skin of the penis or anywhere else.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards.

thanks for the answer. Can you explain "open wound" im still a little nervous because when you look at the scar, its red and a little sensitive. How do i know its not an open wound. i have had a cut before on my fingers, etc. but like i said, it healed but became sensitive again due to being touched through my pants, etc. i am concerned that the virus could seep through some how. Does the open wound have to be big? like i said, it healed but still is red, although not open

Brief Answer:
An open wound means when we can see blood in it.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you writing back.

Please don't worry, if the scar is red and a little sensitive this doesn't mean that is an open wound and there is no risk to get HIV infection.
An open wound means when we can see blood in it (a bleeding open wound) and not a healed or with crust cut or wound.

I hope my answer helps you.
Regards.
