Can HIV Be Contracted Through An Open Wound During Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

Question: Hello,
I have been to a massage place a few days ago. The masseur was male and both of us had no clothes on. I am concerned because during the oil massage he rubbed his penis against my buttocks. At the time I may have had a pimple or two that had just been popped prior or perhaps popped during. Therefore I am concerned about the transmission of possible precum from his penis into the pimples.
Also, I had a small cut on my finger, and he massaged my arms and hands for a while. Is it possible that he could have passed HIV into the small cut in my finger if he had a cut in his finger or precum on his hands.
What is the risk. Would you recommend PEP and HIV testing?
Many thanks.

Brief Answer:
Practically speaking no risk of infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
I would suggest you not to worry as the risk of HIV infection is practically is nil in your case. But yes the extremely small hypothetical risk could possibly be said. I would recommend you no PEP as based upon your history. But yes for psychological advantage you can take a HIV PCR test after 6-7 weeks or 4 th generation ELISA test after 12 weeks. But I would reassure you to relax and lead your normal routine life without worries.
Hope I answered your query

Thank your Dr for your quick response.
Can you please clarify what hypothetical risk is? I have a partner and I am stressed about possibly putting him at risk.

Brief Answer:
Do not take stress. I assure you.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Hypothetical risk is exactly what you stated that precum came in contact with pimples, so some risk like 1 in 1 million can get disease. In medical field we cannot rule out any disease 100% as there is a some risk always. But you need not worry as this risk is practically always nil. I reassure you that you will not get infection.
Take care
