Brief Answer:
Please clarify your question - thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I looked at the picture you sent (of your father?) but there is no way to be able to tell from this picture whether he has any cuts. You and your father would be able to tell that better in person.

Can you tell me specifically what you are concerned about so that I can address this?

Brief Answer:
You will not get HIV from kissing your dad's cheek.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Why would you suspect that he would have fresh blood on his cheek? I don't see any in the picture. Only fresh blood would be a concern.

People kiss each other's cheeks and there is not a concern for getting HIV this way. This is not a standard mode for transmission.

HIV is not spread by causal contact such as kissing someone on the cheek.

Brief Answer:
SSRI, cognitive behavior therapy.

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to hear about this.

When people have behaviors that are unwanted and they feel compelled to do them even when they don't want to, this is a compulsion. Often people who have a compulsive behavior have obsessions (repeated thoughts about something) too.

Treatment for compulsive behaviors is to take SSRI antidepressants. You don't have to be depressed for it to work. Antidepressants such as Lexapro (escitalopram) can help - usually start at 10 mg and may need a higher dose to help. It can take a few weeks to see the effects of it.

You can also try behavioral therapy with a psychologist. The combination of working with a psychologist, plus taking an SSRI medication can be helpful.
