Brief Answer:
Usually unlikely to transmit but possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
I have not heard of such incidents transmitting HIV.
Such incidents can lead to transmission of HIV rarely ,if fresh infected blood comes in contact with open wound or ulcer.
It is very unlikely with fomites(like towels) to transmit virus.
If you still suspect that there was blood in towel ,and it has come in contact with your wound then you can get tested for HIV .
You can go for testing for HIV to relieve your anxiety.
You can get back for any clarification.

I do not see any need for testing.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thank you for follow up query.
I do not see any need for testing.
If you are anxious you can go for HIV 1&2 RNA PCR after 10 days of exposure. It will be almost 99% conclusive .
The other Elisa tests are conclusive after 3 months.
You can back for any clarification.

Brief Answer:
Transmission possible if within 2-5 seconds.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thank you for follow up query.
There is possibility of transmission of HIV :
-If contact within 2-5 seconds,
- if the person is infected,
- if you have bleeding wound.
I do not find risk with the description given by you earlier.
As you are too anxious you can get tested for HIV1&2 RNA PCR at this stage.
HIV does not survive for long in inanimate objects or environment. So unlikely to be transmitted from them.
You can get back for any clarification.
