Posted on Fri, 19 Dec 2014
Question: Hi, I'm a female with herpes and was fingered with precum last weekend. I had no outbreak at the time. If my partner was HIV positive is there a possibility that I could get HIV? Also what are the chances I could have transmitted herpes to him?

Brief Answer:
HIV in less and Herpes more often transmits..

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I understand your concern.
I am Dr. Arun Tank, infectious diseases specialist, answering your query.

HIV can transmit by sex in 0.1 to 1% cases.

Herpes can be transferred more often than HIV to your husband if you have.

Wearing a personal protection can decrease the chance of infections to one another.

I will be happy to answer your further concern, you can ask me on bit.ly/DrArun.
