Question: Hi Doctor,
I met a girl 2days back, she did oral pleasure for few seconds. I am really worried that I may get hiv infection. In internet i read within 72 hours using prep medicine can avoid infection. Could you let me know is it really available in XXXXXXX if not please suggest what kind of test I need to proceed for.

Brief Answer:
HIV risk is almost nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. Welcome to health care magic.
I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.

The chances of transmission of HIV by unprotected oral sex with a HIV positive person is almost nil , unless there are bleeding wounds in both in the area of contact. She may be negative too.

It is very unlikely for transmission in the given scenario.
So the risk is nil.
I do not see the need for any Post exposure prophylaxis(PEP).

You can get tested for HIV and other STDs as a baseline check-up.
PEP is available in XXXXXXX in private and even in government hospitals(ICTC centres) . You can consult your doctor, discuss with him and follow his advice.

You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you
