Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Sex?
There is risk if secretions have contacted that cut.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. There is risk if the secretions have contacted the cut. But it depends on the viral load and the type of cut. As your cut is small the risk is considerably less. It will be better if you could know about the status of the girl you had sex. But if that is not possible then better go for HIV fourth generation test after 2 weeks and again 1month after the sexual contact.
If you are sure the partner you had is risky one then post exposure prophylaxis can be taken after consulting your GP. This should be started within 72 hours of sex and continued till 28 days.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
The cuts were dry when i saw them after sex. In fact they are not cuts exactly, they are chapped skin due to some fungal infection. The cuts were not bleeing after sex. When i pressed the area, i saw it as a open cut. Please advise.
If they were dry then there is no risk.

Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
If they were dry and not bleeding wound then there is no risk. Any how it is better to do a HIV Duo test after 28 days of exposure.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
