Can HIV Be Contracted Through Skin Contact With Infected Liquid?

default
Posted on Mon, 21 Dec 2015
Question: Sir, I am a male of 35. yesterday when I had gone to a public toilet I touched some liquid on the door of that toilet and some of the liquid was there on my hands (I don’t know which liquid it was). After that I touched my pants with my hands and after that my put my penis inside my pant. My pant may get that liquid from my hand and it may touch the inner part of my penis. This incident happened twice first at 1 Pm and second time at 4 PM. After about 3 hours I masturbated. Am I in a risk of HIV infection ??? If that liquid is infected with HIV can I get HIV in this way ???

Hi
Thanks for your query at the HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.

In your case the risk of HIV infection is nil. Nothing to worry about. If you ever come across such situation then wash your hands properly. The HIV virus does not survives on objects outside human body. It gets killed outside body immediately. No tests recommended.

Thank U so much mam. Sorry to disturb U again. But you have written to wash my hands properly if I ever come across the above situation. The washing of hands is required to prevent any type of infection of HIV or any other infection in future ??? Please be kind enough to clear my doubts. Thanking You.

Thanks for your reply. Is there any chance of HIV infection if the above type of situation(Which I explained to U in my first query) repeatedly comes in life ??? Is it so that for the first or second time of that situation HIV will not be infected but we will get HIV if that similar situation is regularly repeated in life ???

Brief Answer:
HIV does not spreads as you described once or repeatedly.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

No need to worry or panic as HIV does not spreads in the way you described. It spreads by penetrating sexual activities, mother to child and blood transfusion related.

Take care
