
Can HSG Tests Be Avoided When Trying For Pregnancy?

Question: im trying to conceive since 1 year. Finally i have been to hospital for tests and all the reports turned out normal. they have dont blood sugar, thyroid, tests, unltra sound scan, FSH, AMH, prolaction tests .but prolactin is little high in normal range and gave me tablet - cabgolin. i have started taking it from today. HSG is not yet done. Do i really need to go to HSG? do i need to take any pain kill er before going for that as it would be painful? what should be the uterus lining before 1 week of my period .i heard that i sghould be thick. but may i know how much mm it should be? my cycle is 28day cycle.

okay. I heard that HSG is painful test. please suggest any pain killer tablet which i can take before undergoing the test. and im worried if both the tubes are blocked, can i still conceive .. if yes what would be the procedure?
