Question: HI:

I was just diagnosed with DCIS, I am waiting for my Her2 results. The progesterone and estrogen are neg hoping my HER2 is positive to avoid chemo. If I have to take Herceptin is this a pill or an infusion. XXXXXXX

Hello dear. I have gone through the details. As per the guidelines, her-2 testing is not required in dcis and even if it comes out to be positive, treatment for her2 is not reqyired in dcis. Herceptin is an infusion drug.
