Question : Hi my baby is now ready for the 3rd vaccine for the previous 2 times we had given him pentaxim and engerix B. Now that pentaxim is not easily available . Can we give him hexaxim.pls advise . Also please advise if there are any other substitute medicine of different company for pentaxim and engerix B.

Pentaxim contains DTaP, IPV, Hib. Energix B contains hepatitis B vaccine.

Hexaxim contains DTaP, IPV, Hib, hepatitis B. So, both have same contents. It can be given in place of Pentaxim and Energix B.

No other substitute for Pentaxim is available in the market.
