Brief Answer:
Start using at bedtime and see the effects- should be safe as explained

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for re-visiting.
Nice to know that you have consulted a Plastic Surgeon.
May I please know what was his opinion on the status of the scars and the discussions you had.

Hexilak Ultra silicon get is sort of a newer treatment for reducing the scar formation, it also has the property of retaining the moisture in the scar, by reducing the new vessel formation and reduces inflammation.
It needs perseverance- takes long time to show the effects.
Since you are going to apply it to the peri-anal area and you will be in the office or moving around the day, I would advise you to use this only at bedtime. This is to avoid the stickiness and increased local humidity in the daytime; to avoid the excessive wetness.
Get started by applying at bedtime and see the effects.
If there is no side effects, you can continue using it.
Side effects other than those caused by keeping the area too wet are not expected.

The plastic surgeon told me what you had suggested earlier i.e the scar has hepertrophy properties.
As suggested by you will use the silicon gel only at night.
Thanks a lot doctor for your support and suggestions.

Brief Answer:
You are most welcome.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your appreciation.
Please give the feedback after using it.
It takes time for it to act.
As suggested earlier, please continue multivitamins with Ginseng. It works.
Very short course of oral steroids work, but you need a valid prescription and a belief of your Doctor, please discuss with your Doctor who may help with a prescription. Let us see the results of the silicon gel.

Brief Answer:
Sure.

Detailed Answer:
Deflazacort 6 mg or others.
Since your brother in law is a maxillofacial Surgeon, he will definitely know the role or steroid as they use in maxillofacial surgeries.
Please discuss with him and let me know his opinion.
