Question: Yes I have been off of citalopram for over 3 weeks I took fluvoxamime for a few days iv been of it for a while and I took depakote for a few days would I be safe to start the citalopram back up at 10mg? And can I safely take it with essentially smelling oil

Check blood sodium levels ,if it's normal can continue citalopram

Hi dear,
Depakote ( valproate ) taken with citalopram can cause hyponatremia, so blood electrolyte ( especially sodium levels ) to be checked before, then can start citalopram not both together , but you can shift from fluvoxamine to citalopram they don't easily effect each other ! Do LFT And RFT also if taken depakote. Plus it needs to be changed as per prescription by your consultant. Which oil you are considering?
