Question: Can i take a bath at home 55 hours after taking misoprostol? I had a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks. Took misoprol to get process going, after 55 hours had bleeding and clots, but embryo has not come out yet.
Brief Answer:
You can take a shower.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Technically speaking, there's no contraindication to take bath after such duration, so you can take a shower carefully at home. Just keep an eye while doing so as the product of conception may get dislodged also.
Hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Hi i know I can shower. My question is specifically regarding taking a bath in my own bath tub.
Brief Answer:
better to avoid it for now...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
No, it's better to avoid taking bath in the bathtub. In fact, it's recommended not to take bath in the bathtub for several days (duration can even get prolonged up to 10-14days). Reason being the cervix is still open, and taking a bath in the tub can increase chances of infection as well as bleeding.
So, please avoid it till cleared by your gynecologist.
Feel free to ask further. Take care.
