Can I Use Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream To Treat Jock Itch?

Question: Can I use Betamethasone Dipropionate cream to treat jock itch? I used 1% Terbinafine Hydrochloride Antifungal cream for 2 weeks applying once a day in the morning. It worked good for about 4 days then the area started to itch again and the redness doesn't seem to go away although it's not as red as before I used it.. The jock itch came from wearing a jock while I rode a bike. The jock itch is located around both testicals. Thank you, Ed Watson St. XXXXXXX Fl.

Brief Answer:
Don't use bethametazon use antifungal treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you should not use bethametazon disproportionate for jock itch because it can worsen it.
You can use econazole or, oxiconazole cream.
You can do some tips to help.
Dry it well with towels after bath or exercise.
Keep it dry.
Wear cotton underwear and change them often.
If it still doesn't improve after two weeks may be oral antifungal treatment is needed.

Hope I have answered the question.
