Question: Hello. I am.writing because I need to have an answer regarding my 3 month old baby. Today she has had a lot of pain in the tummy because of colic. Seemed like nothing helped her sor I went to the farmacy and asked if I could give chamomille tea. She gave me plasmon and I could mixed it with 100 ml of water. I gave my doughter 50 ml and she was more calm. I am worried if it was too much? Can I use it nore often and how much. She is only breastfeeding. Thank you?

Brief Answer:
Proper burping should help. Colicaid can be used.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through the details carefully and understand your concern.

It is good to know that the child is exclusively breastfeeding. However, I do not think that giving chamomile tea or plasmon. Babies often get colics or tummy pain. You should burp the baby for at least 15-20 mins after each feed. All you need to do is to keep the baby's head end elevated for this duration. The extra air is taken causes distention and hence colics.

Proper burping will ensure its escape and the milk will not regurgitate back from the stomach to the food pipe, thus providing relief. You can otherwise give Coliaid Drops when needed.

Feel free to write back.

Regards
