Brief Answer:
Further information is required...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Pink eye is a condition where there is inflammation/infection of the outer membrane of the eyeball and the inner eyelid.

If pink eye was noticed after using Lamisil alone then, I need to know:
- if you applied lamisil on your face?
- or did you use it as a pill?

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Possibly pink eye a side effect to Lamisil pill use as following...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Thank you for providing the requested information. Lamisil pill can be a cause for possible allergy reaction. Pink eyes can be a sign of possible side effects to lamisil if it started after taking the pill.

You can report it as side effect to your doctor and to stop taking lamisil pill for a few days and observe the changes.

Hope it was of help!

Brief Answer:
Nothing to get confused if eye doctor diagnosed with BMED as following...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

I understand that the generic name for Lamisil is terbinafin. If you started to use it on april 1st, and the pink eye appeared after using it, then, we can consider as side effect if other eye problems are not noted.

However, you are saying that have already been to an eye doctor who diagnosed with basement membrane eye disease (we call it dystrophy=BMED) and this is a different diagnosis and which explain your pink eye.

As mentioned earlier, pink eye is indicative for possible inflammation/infection of conjuctiva. Basement membrane eye dystrophy is also one cause to pink eye.

Zylet drops you are taking contains both an anti-inflammatory medication (loteprednol) and anti-bacterial drug (tobramycin) that will help control inflammation and infection of conjuctiva (pink eye).

Hope it helped!

Brief Answer:
Yes, continue taking terbinafin and eye drops....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Yes, continue terbinafin and eye drops as directed by your ophthalmologist . i believe you have already told him that you are also taking terbinafin pills. If he knows that, then go ahead with your actual medications.

All the best! Wish fast recovery my dear!
