
Can Levofloxacin Be Taken In Place Of Cipro While Suffering From UTI?

Question: taking Cipro for urinary tract infection with burning while peeing. after 3 days, no improvement. should I start another since I have been on Cipro two before in the past year. How about Levofloxacin?

It may be caused by some resistant type of bacteria and Levoflixacin would be a better option.
However it would be better if you do urine culture sensitivity analysis to rule out the exact infection/bacteria causing it so that most efficient antibiotic can be used.
