Can Linsopril Cause Squeezing Sensation In The Chest?
I have struggled with cardiac like symptoms for a while now. Chest pressure and a strong squeeze feeling directly under my jaw. I have been to the er, always told it was not my heart, when the symptoms persisted I saw a cardiologist, had stress tests and even a heart XXXXXXX which was clear.
I am starting get to wonder if my 10mg linsopril could be the culprit? It seams the side effects account for most of my complaints... light headed spells, feeling like I am in a fog, and even dizziness. But can it explain the chest pressure and strange sensation under my jaw?
No it doesn't causes chest pressure
Detailed Answer:
Hello
After going through the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that as you have already underwent the final gold standard test for the detection of coronary heart disease and which came out to be clear so you can rest assured that you don't have any life threatening heart disease.
I would like to advise you to reduce the dose of Lisinopril to 5mg while keeping your blood pressure regularly checked. If after reducing the dose for 7 days your Bp stays below 140/90 mmhg then you can continue with same dose of 5 mg and hope you won't get the symptoms which you are experiencing now.
Also get your blood serum electrolytes levels checked as low sodium levels can also lead to dizziness, light head.
And most importantly eat healthy, don't smoke if you do, exercise and stay happy, you will be fine.
I hope this information will be helpful. If you have any more doubts you can ask me back or else you can close the discussion and kindly rate the answer.
Kind regards
