Can Lisinopril Cause Dizziness?
Question: I have been on lisinopril 20mgs for a few months now and have experienced dizziness since Feburary. Could this be the result of this medication?

Regarding your concern, I would explain that dizziness is a common adverse effect of Lisinopril, encountered in up to 10 % of the patients which are taking this drug.
For this reason, I would recommend discussing with your doctor on the possibility of switching to another anti-hypertensive drug which does not lead to this adverse effect.
If after stopping lisinopril, dizziness persists, I would recommend consulting with an ENT specialist and performing labyrinthine tests to exclude an inner ear disorder. A cervical vertebral column X ray study is also necessary to exclude chronic degeneration of the cervical spine, that may lead to dizziness, which is triggered by neck or head movements.
