Can Lupron Hormones And Casodex 5 Mg Be Taken Together?
Question: I am 75 years old and I had Radical Prostatetomy 20 years ago and radiation 12 years ago my PSA Siemens reading is up to 5.1 and my Roche Cobas 6000 is at 7.05. I am thinking of taking Lupron hormones or Casodex 5 mg daily. Can they be taken together? Or should I continue with active surveillance? I have a big concern about the side effects.
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. It will help you
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So post treatment with surgery and radiation therapy, if psa starts rising, then there is no role of surveillance. It has been provrn that in such a case, early introduction of hormonal therapy helps to increase survival with better results.
I will advise you to take lupron therapy. Casodex 50 mg will be required in initial few days, after that casodex can be omitted.
Thanks and regards
