To answer to your question:

To my knowledge, MDMA is 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy), a recreational drug. Although it might give relaxation/positive feeling, it is has serious side effects especially when overdose.
As all drugs are being metabolized in the liver, consequently, it can negatively affect its function and histological structure as per several studies.
This bad effect can be lethal if the patient has a personal history of liver damages.
Furthermore, if you have a personal history of chronic alcohol use/hepatitis, then the use of MDMA can aggravate the actual damages to the liver.
