Question: can mahacef 100 and azithral 100 be taken simutaneously by 1 year old kid.

Mahacef contains cefixime and azithral contains azithromycin.
Both these medication are of different pharcological group.
Cefixime is a good antibiotic for repiratory infection in this age group.Clinical improvement after giving antibiotic may take 48-72 hours.So as I think it's too early (after 2 days) to add another antibiotic.
Both the medicines (mahacef and azithromycin)can be given simultaneously in children.
Watch for any gastrointestinal disturbances like nausea,vomiting,loose stool or pain abdomen as these can be seen after the use of azithromycin.
