Question: I smoked marijuana 42 days ago and then took a urine test. What are the chances I passed?

Detailed Answer:
Marijuana has a well-characterized DEEP tissue compartment. If you habitually smoke a lot, breakdown products are stored in fat. They build up to considerable amounts over time and take months to fully clear. On the other hand, ONE use would drop below detection in at most a week.

If one is an occaisional user, 42 days is a really long time. There's a theoretical possibility of someone losing a lot of fat immediately before the test and the marijuana breakdown products coming out of the fat that is broken down even in an occaisional smoker. Then again, if it is a screening methodology there is a chance of a positive by the lab test messing up. If they use the better tests this will not occur.
