Question: I am using melacare forte for a while and my skin is getting dry . Around mouth area and nose area are getting worse day by day! Suggest me a cream or gel to get rid of patchy and dry skin . Am also using vlcc sunscreen 60+spf daily in the morning.

Brief Answer:
The underlying cause needs to be sought and treated

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. You could have patchy dry skin for a number of reasons. I would insist you to upload an image. Rather than applying melacare, it needs to be discerned whether it could be due to a fungal infection like pityriasis versicolor or whether autoimmune causes like vitiligo could be present. Treatment will vary accordingly. As of now, I would insist you to apply some moisturizing lotion like aloe vera lotion overall on your skin.

I will await your response. Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
Melacare would help

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for attaching the pictures.

Application of Melacare is proper in your case. However, you also need to apply Candid (Clotrimazole) cream or lotion since a fungal infection is also likely to be present. Continue applying some moisturizing lotion like aloe vera lotion otherwise. It would be a good idea to visit a dermatologist and to remain under his/her follow up during this time period.
