Can Metformin Be Replaced With Hyponidid For Treatment Of PCOS?

will explain
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for consulting HCM.
As pcos can be treated in ayurveda with certain line of treatment protocol.
as pcos occur because of hormonal influence and imbalance.
only by taking Hyponidid will not cure PCOS. ayurvedic treatment includes proper internal medication, diet pattern, recommended lifestyle if needed yoga need to practice.
First we need to assess the cause for pcos. Then we can easily treat pcos.
without knowing the cause for your Condition generalized medication will not help.
after proper assessment recommended line of treatment will be internal medication, exercise, diet restrictions , and practicing yoga will definitely cure pcos.
kindly let me know the hormonal status(recent) if you have done any lab investigation.
Your BMI, occupation, diet habit, frequency of junk food intake and any other illness like hypothyroid and any other medical history etc.

Thank you

I have currently no harmonal evaluations with me. But, My doctor diagnosed me with PCOS based on the findings of insulin resistance, excess androgens through blood work, and based on the symptoms of irregular periods, weight gain, hair on chin. I suspect the main cause is insulin resistance, but I have no clue of the real reason.
I am fully aware of the fact that Metformin or Hyponidd does not cure PCOS. But, my main goal currently is to regulate my periods and to conceive. Metformin is helping to regulate my periods, and I am reducing weight by making changes in my diet and lifestyle. I am currently on Sugar free, Gluten free, Dairy free diet. I have eliminated simple carbs too from my diet and am only consuming complex carbs like oats and brown rice, vegetables, lentils, eggs .... I am reducing weight. I have been exercising too.
Curing PCOS is a long term goal for me and I know it takes time and patience. I want to take Metformin only until conceived and will look for Ayurvedic long term options after that. But, currently my main concern is I do not want to take Metformin as I do not want to take western medicine and want to take only if absolutely necessary. I heard Hyponidd is an alternative to Metformin. Is it true? I want to discontinue Metformin and use Hyponidd instead temporarily for this purpose. I know Metformin regulates insulin. Can I depend on Hyponidd for this purpose?
Can use hyponidd
Detailed Answer:
Hai,
Thanks for your clear query.
You can use hyponidd for your complaint.
hyponidd is not an perfect alternative for Metformin.
mode of action differs.
As of my experience some patient will respond immediately for Hyponidd but in some patient response will take 2 to 3 months of time. i can say 50 50 chances.
I suggest you to take XXXXXXX aristam -30ml with 60 ml of water twice time along with hyponidd will be more effective in your concern.
add more sesame oil in your diet.
continue the same diet and lifestyle along with above medication.
get back to me after one duration with the above advise.
Thank you

1. My Doctor suggested that in case I got conceived, to continue the Metformin for the first trimester, so that the harmones will be regulated and there will be lesser chance for miscarraige. So, if I take hyponidd and XXXXXXX Aristam in place of Metformin, does the same rule apply. Are these safe during the first trimester of pregnancy?
2. I have known that usually hyponidd and M2-Tone in combination work very well generally for balancing harmones. What is M2-Tone? Do you suggest this combination or the combination you initially recommended?
3. Can hyponidd be taken by my husband to balance his insulin insensitivity in place of Metformin?
calrified below
Detailed Answer:
Hai,
1. Yes, the same is applicable. Once you got confirmed with your pregnancy you stop taking the medicine.
2. M2 tone also contains Asoka and other ingredient which helps in treating your fertility problem. As XXXXXXX aristam is a classical preparation to regulate the menstrual cycle. M2 tone is therapeutic formulated by the particular company. You may take M2 tone along with hyponidd. No harm in it.
3. since hyponidd may act on insulin insensitivity. But it will not directly control the glucose level in the blood as compared to metformin.
thank you

My first question is "Can I continue the suggested ayurvedic meds during the first 3 months of pregnancy, so that harmones are balanced and prevent miscarraige, and are these meds safe during pregnancy?"
No need
Detailed Answer:
Hai,
Once your cycle gets regulated and ovulation functioning normally, no need to take the medications Hyponidd and M2 tone or XXXXXXX aristam. Once you confirmed your pregnancy, stop taking it.
i don't recommend the above mentioned medication in the first trimester or early stage of pregnancy. Once you get pregnant it says that your hormone are functioning normally.
dont confuse the mode of action of western medicine and ayurvedic medicine. Mode of action of the drug will be different.
thank you

its my pleasure
