Brief Answer: Yes It can Detailed Answer: good day Mr XXXX! Heart Pumping is a constant dynamic phenomenon and any structural deformity can derange the flow and out puts to that and resulting in derangement of blood pressure, preloads and after loads of volumes and outputs, thus deranging cardiac perfusion and overburdening the heart. Now your query of fluctuation of blood pressure secondary to mitral valve prolapse is affirmative , yes it can fluctuate. Where blood is supposed to go from ventricles ( lower chambers) is to vessels through aorta which in turn distributes in vessels all around and maintain a mean arterial pressure. and prolapsed mitral valve decreases that flow and deranges and fluctuates the pressures. SO yes it can.Seek the cardiologist help and see what comes up the solution for this prolapse and what is best for you Hope this answer finds you in good health.
