
Can Neosporin Be Used For Cuts Near The Vaginal Opening?

Question: My boyfriends fingernails left small cuts on each side of my vaginal opening. About 1/2 from the opening. Is it ok to use a topical antibiotic like neosporin?

I am using the ointment and today it ia very itchy. I hope this is a sign of healing?

Yes dear it is itchy as the cream excipients as times mix with vaginal discharge and cause itching so clean the area with generous amount of water daily while bathing and wipe perineal region after going to the loo every time and of course cotton panties only.
