Can Norethisterone Or Utovlan Be Taken With Cerelle To Delay Menstruation?

Question: I'm taking Cerelle right now but at the end of the month (August), I know my period will start again and I would like to delay that due to holiday, can I take Norethisterone or Utovlan with my Cerelle to delay it?

Hello,
thanks for the query to hcm,
There is no need to start a fresh drug with Cerelle , infact as it is a progesterone only pill, you should start the fresh pack from the day the previous pack ends without giving a gap in between. This shall prevent the withdrawal and you can delay your menses as long as you want.
When menses required you may stop the pill and your menses shall resume in next 5 days. This is one advantage with Cerelle as it doesn't contain any oestrogen component.

But if I did that, wouldnt my period be normal and come roughly the same time in August?
All i would like to do is just delay it that week.. Ive read on here the same question and they said it was no problem taking both.

Hello,
There is no problem taking both as both are progesterones. Taking them together would only increase the concentration of progesterones. Ideally from day 23, progesterones should be continued daily till you desire to delay the menses.
CERELLE alone can serve the same purpose, hence i said that you should continue the next pack without any break after 28th pill.
This shall maintain the progesterone concentration and hence there would be no withdrawal.
